I woke early to find myself surrounded by cows from Billarimba. Mind you they were very friendly and hung around while I had breakfast and packed up. They sniffed al the gear and stood around looking quite amused. Michael did say his cows were friendly. Today was the Demon Valley – a spectacular track following the Demon Creek to Timbarra. This Valley is more ruggered than the Timbara River. As usual lots of climbing. Lessons learnt on the BNT, 1) you have to love hills, 2) you have to love climbing hills, 3) you have to love hike a bikeing. The upside is when you stop and rest the views are amazing. Had a few deep water crossings – about 25 overall on Demon Creek. I think the BOB trailer nearly went under water at least twice, no damage and gear stayed dry. Nasty climb up to Timbarra Road – especially at the end of the day. Camped at Sandy Creek which turned out to be a chilly camp.
