A storm rolled in about 2:00am which kept me awake for a couple of hours. As a result a late start to the day – on the road at about 7:00am. After about 500 hundred meters I passed the Merengo Lookout which had fantastic. Owes over the Guy Fawkes River. The hills continued into Dalmorton on the Boyd River but had a nice downhill run into the old town. Lunch and water refill followed by a swim and it was time to head out. It was anothe 20km to where the old Grafton Rd leaves the Boyd River. Setup camp at the old school near Carey’s Flat TSR which is about 100m from the river. Now sitting on the stairs of the school watching another storm come over.
